Sarasota County voters can cast ballots at any of 11 early voting locations starting Monday, Oct. 19, for the Nov. 3 general election.
Polls open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. daily through Sunday, Nov. 1, including weekends, according to the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Office. Voters may use any of the 11 sites regardless of their home precinct.
Two locations are new this cycle. The North Port Elections Office at North Port Village, 14277 S. Tamiami Trail, and Twin Lakes Park at 5879 Hummingbird Ave. in Sarasota join the lineup for the first time, the elections office told WWSB.
Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner said in a news release that "in-person early voting is a convenient way to cast your ballot before election day."
Voters must bring a current, valid photo and signature ID. Sample ballots have been mailed and are available at SarasotaVotes.gov. Voters may bring a sample ballot as a reference when voting in person.
The ballot includes federal, state and local races. Sarasota County voters will decide County Commission, School Board, Charter Review Board and municipal contests in Sarasota, Venice and North Port, along with three statewide constitutional amendments, according to a WWSB election guide.
The county has more than 330,000 registered voters. During the August primary, 18,126 Sarasota County residents voted early, WWSB reported.

On Election Day, polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but voters must go to their assigned precinct. The Supervisor of Elections Office can be reached at 941-861-8619 or at SarasotaVotes.gov.
